Parent Training & Advocacy

At Stepping Stones Behavioral Services, we not only focus on the well-being of children, but also on empowering parents. Our Parent Training & Advocacy program offers practical tools and emotional support for parents to become effective advocates for their children. Through one-on-one sessions, we work together to strengthen parenting skills, better understand each child's individual needs, and advocate for the resources and services necessary for their success.

Parent Training 

At Stepping Stones, we are dedicated to empowering parents and caregivers through comprehensive training and advocacy for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our program equips families with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to support their child's development and effectively manage challenging behaviors.

Through our parent training initiative, we provide in-depth education on the principles and techniques of ABA, ensuring that parents understand the underlying reasons behind their child's behaviors. We offer guidance on setting clear expectations, implementing consistent consequences, using reinforcement effectively, and employing proactive strategies to promote desired outcomes.

Coordination of Care

 Additionally, our Behavior Analysts work collaboratively with a network of professionals, including physicians, psychologists, neurologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure seamless coordination of care. We actively participate in school Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering consultation and training to school staff, and conducting classroom observations to provide further support for each child's unique needs.
